Job Summary

Ensure, coordinate and promote Browning/Winchester inside sales by telephone and all other channels of communication to achieve and maintain company sales objectives.

Job Duties

  1. Ensure that orders from incoming sales calls, fax and e-mail are recorded accurately and promptly processed to ensure satisfaction for customers, and profit for the company.
  2. Perform outbound calling duties as required.
  3. Provide proper and effective customer service for Authorized Browning and Winchester Firearms Dealers and Distributors so that dealer keeps the company in the highest regard and feels good about selling company products.
  4. Create documents that communicate thoughts, ideas, information, messages and other written information in a logical, organized and coherent manner that is appropriate for a business audience.  Writing should be professional and courteous.
  5. Attend a mixture of classes to refresh and update product knowledge, phone and computer skills in order to better service dealers/distributors.
  6. Perform other duties that may be requested by dealers, sales reps or department managers as needed.
  7. Responsible for processing military and house account orders and special promotional programs for both Browning and Winchester within sales team territory.

Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Oracle.

Browning, an industry leader in the Shooting and Hunting Outdoor industry, is seeking an entry-level candidate who can bring their background in administrative support with some financial background and experience to this position.

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Credit Department Supervisor, this position will be responsible for all activities related to the cash applications duties. This position receives and applies payment to specific invoices as indicated by the remitter in a timely manner through the use of a computer terminal so that accounts receivable balances are correct and up-to-date.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

The essential functions of this position are:

  1. As a main responsibility, this position applies incoming cash to Browning dealer accounts to clear invoices that require learning dealer terms and conditions.
  2. Ensures all cash batches accumulated during the month are accurately applied to dealer accounts in order for month-end statements to be processed on time.
  3. Serves as a backup in preparing lockbox batches for entry and posting to dealer/non-dealer accounts.
  4. Makes cash adjustments on non-dealer and dealer accounts to assist credit managers in the reconciliation of accounts.
  5. Serves as a backup for distribution of daily mail within the Credit Department.
  6. Works with Credit Managers to create transaction credit or debit memos as needed on the dealer/non-dealer accounts.
  7. Set up dealers in the Oracle system under the direction of the National Credit Manager and create a permanent file for each.
  8. Serves as a backup to cashier with the balancing of the kitchen till and bank deposits. 
  9. Serves as backup for sorting and processing of outgoing invoices.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school degree or GED with 1-3 years of related work experience.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software application, but more specifically have an excellent working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.

Job Summary

This position reports to the CFO and is responsible for the accounting and tax operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and Belgium financial reporting standards. As tax manager this individual is responsible for providing functional and technical leadership as it pertains to the tax function. The tax manager is responsible for managing tax reporting and compliance within the organization. Ensures that tax returns are complete and accurate in order to minimize tax obligations. 

Job Duties

  1. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  2. Manage outsourced audit and tax functions.
  3. Oversee the operations of the accounting/tax department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
  4. Manage monthly and annual close of accounts and production of financial statements.
  5. Oversee the payables and inventory sub-functions of the accounting department.
  6. Oversee the accounting and tax operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
  7. Research and develop tax-saving strategies.
  8. Identify and mitigate tax risks.
  9. Manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
  10. Manage and coordinate tax audits.
  11. Understands the organization’s mission and functions; grasps the potential impact of the Company’s well-being on employees.
  12. Maintains open lines of communication with others; encourages others to approach him/her with problems and establishes a high degree of trust and credibility with others.
  13. Is flexible and open-minded when dealing with a wide range of people. Listens to and considers others’ viewpoints. Works well and develops effective relationships with diverse personalities.

Reporting

  1. Issue timely and complete financial statements
  2. Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
  3. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  4. Provide for a system of management cost reports
  5. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
  6. Prepare and file periodic tax returns as required

Compliance

  1. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
  2. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings in both the U.S. and Canada.

Working Conditions: Primarily in an office environment. Will be expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries to conduct due diligence. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.

Transactions

  1. Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
  2. Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
  3. Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
  4. Maintain the chart of accounts
  5. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  6. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  7. Ensure that tax returns are completed and accurate to minimize tax obligations
  8. Ensure that tax returns and payments are filed timely
  9. Maintain tax balances in the general ledger
  10. Prepare and coordinate timely payment of tax deposits
  11. Track income, sales and property tax
  12. Reconcile reported tax data to financial statements
  13. Interpret tax code

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.  Experience preparing or coordinating the preparation of taxes in multiple jurisdictions including Federal, State and local jurisdictions. Must hold either a Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Management Accountant designation. The ability to read, write and converse in French would be a plus.

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green, Utah is searching for an Administrative Assistant in the Outdoor Products Division.  Provides analytical and specialized administrative support of a non-routine, non-repetitive nature to relieve and assist the Outdoors Product Division.  May assist in research and data analysis.  Other tasks may include the preparation and/or maintenance of mathematical spreadsheets, Dealer Recap Reports, purchase orders, dealer invoices, vendor invoices, new spec numbers, data cost files, cost schedules, packaging needs, salesman's samples, shipping documents, product and purchase order files, Ancillary and Auditor reports, special department projects and all special assignments directed by product manager(s) and division manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is of the utmost importance.
  2. Efficiently and accurately prepare spreadsheets, closeout lists, documents, letters, faxes and any other administrative duties as assigned by supervisors.
  3. Enter purchase orders, rapidly and accurately, to aid in the timely flow of products. Follow up with accuracy in invoicing from supplier chain.
  4. Prepare and distribute cost schedules for products for use by the products department, accounting, and data processing.
  5. Ensure that all specification sheets are current and correct.
  6. Ensure that all specification sheets and other documents are attached to purchase orders before obtaining signatures and distributing to vendor and appropriate departments.
  7. Prepare M-Invoices and shipping documents for domestic and international shipments.
  8. Monitor delivery schedules and shipments from suppliers to ensure product managers and sales are kept up to date on the deliveries.  Make sure inventories are in the proper warehouse to cover dealer orders.
  9. Create and maintain spec numbers and accompanying information in the system.
  10. Maintain files for QC reports, spec sheets, labels and packaging.

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green, Utah is searching for a QA Test Technician in the Quality Division.  Test and evaluate prototype firearms, design changes to existing models, production samples, and competitor products. Write Test & Evaluation reports on the findings to ensure the quality standards are maintained at the high level expected by our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Test finished products, components, or assemblies to verify adherence to specifications. 
  2. Ability to endure a high volume of repetitive shooting.
  3. Willingness to offer assistance to the Quality Manager on technical matters.
  4. Communicate and develop a positive relationship with internal and external employees and customers.
  5. Conform to strict standards and procedures. Be respectfully firm in communicating those standards to others involved in the processes.
  6. Some international and domestic travel may be required.
  7. All other duties as required/assigned.

Knowledge of firearms, their classifications, action type/option, and some mechanical understanding. The employee must enjoy, support, and have a passion for the firearms industry.
